Cloudflare CLI adds a command to search its own docs

cf docs search returns five ranked results, with title, description and URL, straight from the terminal. Works for you and for coding agents.

Cloudflare CLI 1.0.0-beta.16 adds cf docs search, a command that searches live Cloudflare documentation without leaving the terminal. It returns up to five ranked results as JSON, each with a title, description and documentation URL, and needs an internet connection to run.

npm install --global cf@latest
cf docs search "workers durable objects alarms"

A coding agent can parse those results and fetch the full page as Markdown, which is clearly half the point: cf was built as an agentic CLI covering the whole Cloudflare API, and a docs lookup that returns structured results rather than a web page is what an agent can actually act on.

Why it matters: if you’re already scripting Cloudflare deploys through cf, this cuts out the browser tab for a quick API or config lookup. It matters more if you’re wiring an agent to manage Workers, KV or R2 for you: a search command that returns a URL and a summary, rather than rendered HTML, is the difference between an agent that can self-correct and one that guesses.
