Cloudflare limits D1 database recovery to seven days

The D1 undelete API now rejects any request for a database deleted more than a week ago, returning an error instead of restoring it.

Source: Cloudflare

Cloudflare changed its D1 undelete API on 23 October: it now only accepts recovery requests for databases that were deleted within the last seven days. Ask it to restore anything older than that and the request fails with an error instead of bringing the database back.

D1 is Cloudflare’s SQLite-based database built for Workers, and undelete has been the safety net for an accidental wrangler d1 delete or a dashboard slip. That net now has an expiry.

Undelete window: 7 days from deletion
After that: request fails with an error

Why it matters: if you run real data in D1, “we’ll sort it out later” is no longer a safe response to an accidental delete. Anyone without backups or exports outside D1 itself now has a hard week to notice the deletion and act, not an open-ended grace period.
