Cloudflare Tunnel raises its route limit to 50,000, up from 1,000

The default jumps automatically for every account. A new Tunnels for Platforms option also lets you run more than 1,000 tunnels per account, at $4.50 a tunnel a month.

Cloudflare raised the default route limit for Cloudflare Tunnel and Cloudflare Mesh from 1,000 to 50,000 per account, with no action needed on your part. The limit covers CIDR routes and hostname routes; published applications (public hostnames) are not counted against it, and each tunnel can still carry roughly 5,000 to 10,000 of those depending on config size.

Alongside it, Cloudflare launched Tunnels for Platforms: every account still includes 1,000 tunnels free, but you can now provision more, at $4.50 per tunnel per month, for setups like one tunnel per customer, per device or per environment. Enterprise accounts can negotiate their own pricing. Extra tunnels are purchased from the dashboard, under Networking > Tunnels.

Why it matters: if you run a self-hosted PaaS, an internal tooling platform, or anything that gives each customer or device its own private ingress, the old 1,000-route ceiling was the thing that made Tunnel awkward at scale. Fifty times the headroom, plus a priced path to more tunnels, makes Tunnel a realistic default rather than something you outgrow quickly.
