Ex-GitHub CEO launches Entire, a git forge built for AI agents

Entire replaces pull requests with agent-scored "Trails" and claims git pushes 89 times faster than GitHub. It comes from former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke.

Thomas Dohmke, the former GitHub CEO, launched Entire on 26 October: a git forge built around coding agents rather than human reviewers. It swaps pull requests for what Entire calls Trails. Every push gets scored by configurable automated evals, covering things like security and code quality, and a change can’t merge until those scores clear a gate, rather than waiting on someone to read a diff.

Entire says its distributed git hosting handles 418 pushes a second, which it claims is 89 times faster than GitHub and six times faster than Cursor’s Origin host, with repositories in the US, EU, Australia and India. A companion open source tool, entire-graph, builds a map of a codebase so agents can query it instead of re-reading files, which Entire says cut token use by up to 71 percent in its own testing. The company raised a $60 million seed round in February and has around 50 staff, with CI run through Buildkite and Depot.

Why it matters: diff-first pull requests assume a human wrote the change and another human is checking it. If your team is running agents that push dozens of small changes a day, that review model stops fitting, and Entire is betting there’s a market for infrastructure built around agents doing most of the pushing.

The caveat: the speed and token-savings figures are Entire’s own benchmarks, not independently verified, and the only CI integrations so far are Buildkite and Depot.
