Laravel Cloud adds a built-in Resend email integration

Connect a Resend account once and Laravel Cloud manages sending domains, API keys and the mail environment variables for every environment that needs email.

Source: Laravel Cloud

Laravel Cloud shipped a direct Resend integration on 13 October, so transactional email can be set up from the Cloud dashboard instead of copying API keys between two services. Connect a Resend account to your organisation once, and Laravel Cloud imports the sending domains already in that account and tracks their verification status.

Attaching email to an environment walks through choosing or creating a sending domain, Cloud shows the exact DNS records to add, then configuring a sender address. Laravel Cloud creates a new Resend API key for that environment (or reuses an existing one) and injects RESEND_API_KEY, MAIL_MAILER, MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS and MAIL_FROM_NAME automatically, encrypting the key the same way it handles a database password.

RESEND_API_KEY=re_xxxxxxxxxxxx
MAIL_MAILER=resend

Why it matters: Resend is the only provider Laravel Cloud manages this way, and the integration itself is free, you still pay Resend directly. For anyone already deploying on Laravel Cloud, it removes a manual step, pasting and rotating Resend keys by hand, that every environment otherwise repeats.

The caveat: Resend’s full-access keys aren’t scoped to a single domain, so a key created for one environment can manage the whole Resend account. Laravel Cloud flags this, but it’s worth treating that key with the same care as any other production credential.
