Vercel's Token Pass bundles $80 of model credit for $30

Pro teams can subscribe for monthly AI Gateway credit covering GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3, with zero data retention by default and no overage billing once the credit runs out.

Vercel opened early access to Token Pass on 15 October, a subscription plan for AI model usage sold alongside Pro team plans. $30 a month buys $80 in credit, usable against two models so far: GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3, with Vercel saying more are coming.

Requests route through AI Gateway, so the credit works with coding agents such as fx, Command Code and Pi, or a custom agent built on the AI SDK. Zero Data Retention is on by default, inference runs in the US and EU, and prompts are not used to train models. Credit does not roll over between months, and once it is spent, requests simply stop until the next billing cycle rather than triggering overage charges. Early access has a capped number of spots; once it fills, the sign-up page shows a waitlist instead.

Why it matters: teams experimenting with agentic coding workloads on open-weight models get a flat, predictable monthly cost instead of metered per-token billing, plus the privacy settings bundled in rather than configured separately.

The caveat: early access only, Pro teams only, and just two models for now. Worth checking whether GLM 5.3 or Kimi K3 actually suit your workload before committing the $30.
