xAI bundles Grok, Cursor and X Premium into one subscription
The X Subscription merges Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium into five tiers with a shared usage pool, cutting the combined price of the top services by two-thirds.
xAI announced The X Subscription on 12 October, merging Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium into a single plan sold in five tiers: Free, Plus at $8 a month, Premium at $30, Super at $100 and Ultra at $200. Premium bundles what SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+ used to cost separately, about $90 a month combined.
Paid tiers draw Grok and Cursor usage from one shared weekly pool rather than two separate allowances, and xAI says the coding allocation runs to roughly twice what an equivalent standalone Cursor plan gives you. The new plans are live for new customers now; existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers can stay on their current plan or switch, with a prorated refund for the switch.
Why it matters: if you use Cursor and were paying for it separately from Grok or X Premium, this is a real price cut, but only if your coding and chat usage both fit inside one shared pool rather than two separate ones. Heavy use of either product could burn through the combined allowance faster than two standalone plans would.
The caveat: xAI’s “twice the coding usage” figure is its own comparison against an unspecified standalone Cursor plan, not an independently verified benchmark.
