Conductor joins Meta and shuts down its coding-agent cloud

Conductor Cloud workspaces go read-only on 13 November and are deleted a week later, as the team moves to Meta Superintelligence Labs.

Conductor, which lets developers run several AI coding agents at once in the cloud, announced on 4 November that it is joining Meta. The team is heading to Meta Superintelligence Labs and winding down the current product to build something new, due in early 2027.

New sign-ups stopped the same day. Cloud workspaces become read-only on 13 November, and the service shuts down entirely on 20 November, when Meta starts deleting Cloud data. The local Mac app keeps getting new models and bug fixes until early 2027, when it winds down too. Active subscribers get refunds, and Conductor says it has never sold or trained on user data.

Why it matters: anyone running agents through Conductor Cloud needs to export their workspaces, either with the transfer-to-local option or via Settings, Account, Export, before the 13 November cutoff. It is also the second coding-agent acquisition announced this week, after OpenAI’s deal for Pierre Computer, a sign the big labs are buying rather than building their way into developer tooling.
